How to do Root Cause Analysis: "Root cause analysis is an important activity whenever a problem occurs – whether it is a defect, an operational outage, or something else. Whatever the problem, your objective should be to not only resolve the issue but also prevent it from reoccurring in the future. To do this, you need to determine the root cause – the key factor(s) that caused the problem to occur and that need to change in order to stop it from happening again."

Writing words vs. writing software: "You can’t fall in love with your baby. You need to realize your work is going to get twisted up and turned inside out. It’s better to get that over with sooner than later. If not, you risk falling head-over-heels for your creation only to have your heart broken later. So share stuff early and often."

We're not sure if the Nokia N73 is new or not: "God, it's boring having to do a blog when it's sunny out and all you really want to bother thinking about is doing stuff with girls in parks."

The Aikido of natural physics: "Training, lots of it increases your chances, that’s all. After that there are no guarantees. Worrying about details is a moot time-waste. Just train and avoid engagement as much as possible. And live in the moment. Not hypotheticals."
